WHEN TO CALL

We meet you where you are.

We recognize that many of our colleagues are wearing several different hats, with Title IX compliance being just one.  We fill in the gaps for institutions that may not have the in-house resources and need more comprehensive advice and ongoing guidance.  We also provide support for larger scale, project-based engagements such as investigations, adjudications, and policy revisions.

BEFORE A PROCESS
DURING A PROCESS
AFTER A PROCESS

We offer policy audits, prevention training opportunities, educational presentations, effective practices for building campus partnerships, one-on-one coaching, and other evidence-based strategies for stopping, addressing, and preventing violence.

What has this looked like?

  • Review of institutional policy, procedures, and processes

  • Checklists and templates for Title IX Coordinators and ongoing coaching for administrators new to Title IX

  • Communication drafts and templates to educate campus constituents about Title IX-related policy changes, including senior leadership

  • Strategy planning for cross-campus collaborations to satisfy training and programming requirements, as well as build and strengthen culture of consent

While we  accept contracted work to investigate and adjudicate formal complaints, we have also served as advisors, implemented informal resolutions, and overseen compliance throughout a conduct process.

What has this looked like?

  • Conducting impartial, trauma-informed investigative interviews

  • Creating informal resolution agreements between parties

  • Acting as external adjudicator during formal complaint proceedings

  • Ensuring adherence to policy and procedures in compliance with federal regulations

We recognize that harm is rarely resolved at the end of a complaint process. We offer post-process consultation, and are trained practitioners in restorative practices involving both interpersonal and community dialogues.

What has this looked like?

  • Acting as an appellate authority during appeals

  • Ongoing education for athletic teams, student organizations, or residence halls to address past harm

  • Restorative practices such as conferences, circles, or facilitated dialogues

  • Post-process review of timelines, training, and policies and recommendations for revisions
